"Pratobello is now at the center of the debate: this is our victory." The activists, who occupied the Regional Council for a little over a day, shouted it so that everyone could hear them. "We will not give up until the popular initiative bill is discussed." But the divisions remain: even after the order of the Council of State which, in fact, seems to reduce the margin of action of the Region on suitable areas.
The majority
The majority is going straight ahead and Antonio Solinas (PD) recalls the "crucial deadline" of December 11. "If the Constitutional Court were to accept the Government's appeal on the moratorium, all 800 wind, photovoltaic and agrivoltaic projects presented to the Region will have to be taken up again, which would have to deal with a dangerous regulatory vacuum".
The center-right
The opposition attempted to bring Pratobello in the form of amendments into bill 45 on suitable areas in the commission. "We tried in every way to ask the majority to take into account the proposed law signed by over 210 thousand Sardinians and we always received a negative response," explained the president of FdI Paolo Truzzu.
The committees
Now the committees are waiting for the meeting promised to the twelve occupants before leaving the Council. Decided on one point: "Taking into account the political and legal developments of the last few hours, the centrality and importance of Pratobello forcefully re-emerges, because in the face of the Italian regulatory framework our Island can only find protection through the application of the Statute and the primary and exclusive competences of the Region, namely urban planning", says Michele Zuddas.
