New military aid from the USA to Ukraine, engaged in the conflict against Russia.
In the new "package" - explained the US Undersecretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien - there will not be "only Patriot" (i.e. surface-to-air missiles for tactical defense) but also "systems that destroy drones , slow missiles and other means with which Russia is trying to attack."
O'Brien added that Kiev will receive the aid "very soon", after the approval of an ad hoc bill by Congress and the signature of President Joe Biden.
“We intend to provide the assistance Kiev needs on the battlefield to achieve success,” the undersecretary continued.
«I had a telephone conversation with the President of the United States Joe Biden following the results of the votes in the House of Representatives», declared Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky after a telephone call with the US President and confirmation of the intention to send the new help.
