"Yesterday another 2 deaths at work. Two workers: one 24 years old in Girasole", Gabriele Piroddi, from Perdasdefogu, electrocuted in an Enel cabin, "and another, 68 years old, in Scafati (Salerno). We are at almost 3 deaths per day in the first six months of 2024, an increase compared to the same period last year. Faced with this daily massacre, the Government's choices worry us a lot: companies will be warned days before inspections, companies in compliance will no longer be checked for 12 months, violations committed, fined up to 5 thousand euros, will be resolved with a warning to be regularized within twenty days, a credit license based on a self-certification that, as it was done, is useless".

"Who pays for all this?" asks the leader of the M5S Giuseppe Conte, on X. And he also gives an answer: "The workers and honest businesses, who suffer unfair competition from those who act illegally."

The former Prime Minister lists his proposals to the executive in the post: "We continue to ask the Government to change gear and we propose: 1. introduction of the crime of homicide at work; 2. establishment of a National Labor Prosecutor's Office; 3. extension of the Durc of congruity to the agricultural sector; 4. introduction of the teaching of safety culture in schools. President Meloni, Minister Calderone: make a move. Enough of dying at work", says Conte.
