"I'll throw you to the pigs." This is one of the sentences that a 48-year-old from Usini is said to have uttered against his brother, sentenced yesterday in court in Sassari to a 4-month sentence.

According to the indictment, the man, accused of family abuse, would have addressed to his relative in 2022 phrases such as "I'll cut your throat, if I don't succeed I'll send people and make you disappear" or "I'll cut your head off and stab you while you sleep". On one occasion, the prosecution reports, after having threatened the family member with a knife to kill him, he showed up in front of the house with a gas cylinder, saying he wanted to blow it up.

But there are several episodes recounted in the Chamber, such as the insults against his brother, who was also the subject of an ashtray being thrown. Prosecutor Elena Succu had asked for 4 years' imprisonment for the man, defended by the lawyer Giovanni Policastro. The college chaired by Monia Adami, alongside Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla, has a different opinion.
