Massive pile-up on the 554 in Selargius: four vehicles involved, traffic at a standstill

A chain reaction crash has brought traffic to a standstill on the 554. Shortly before 9am, an accident occurred at kilometre 3,200 in the Selargius area, almost at the height of the Su Planu junction that leads to the 131 dir: three cars and a sewer cleaning truck were involved. The latter was the protagonist of the first impact, with one of the cars apparently due to a risky attempt to overtake. One spun around, putting itself in the opposite position, with the other motorists in transit who nevertheless managed to avoid the impact.

There were no injuries . The cars are still on the roadway, one of the lanes – towards Elmas – has been closed to traffic while the other is open. There is a lot of traffic disruption, with queues that have already started at the height of the Monserrato cemetery, still on the 554.

Anas and the local police of Selargius intervened on site for the surveys. Traffic now continues albeit with slowdowns.
