Water emergency in the villages of the Municipality of Maracalagonis .
Mayor Francesca Fadda has requested four tankers to ensure domestic water for those who need it. A fifth tanker is needed to ensure water for livestock.
The situation has become dramatic: wells and springs have dried up, as has not happened for a long time . Here too it has not rained since last autumn, and previously it had rained very little.
The most dramatic situation is in the fields and villages along the Vecchia Orientale . The mayor reported serious criticalities in the Villaggio delle Rose, in Monti Nieddu, in the Villaggio dei Gigli and in the Su Reu area . 400 people are affected.
According to the mayor, a tanker is needed for each village to provide the population with non-potable water for domestic use . And a tanker to transport raw water for watering livestock .
