Hell of fire in Sa Marigosa, the company between Riola Sardo and Cabras was devastated

The extinguishing operations continued for hours. Only late yesterday evening was the fire that devastated the "Sa Marigosa" factory , on the border between Riola and Cabras , on the road leading to Mari Ermi, put out. Investigations are underway to establish the causes of the fire.

The alarm went off around 6pm yesterday, when sparks flew from a van parked in a garage which triggered a terrifying fire in just a few seconds. Structure evacuated, staff still managed to get the vehicles out of the warehouses. Three teams of the Oristano firefighters arrived on site with tankers and ladder trucks and worked for over two hours to put out the fire. Only late in the evening did the situation return under control and cleanup operations began.

Two warehouses were destroyed, in one even the sheet metal roof collapsed . A warehouse connected to a packaging line was devastated: all the products would also have been lost. The conference room was also burned, while the laboratories, cold rooms and the rest of the structure appear not to have suffered serious damage. The final count can only be done in the next few hours but the damage is enormous .

Already four years ago the leading company in the fruit and vegetable sector was hit hard by a fire .
