Emergency medical service in Pirri: the aim is to renovate the building in via Santa Maria Chiara
I asked the Superintendency for approval. Work could begin in the fallPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
There is the definitive and executive project of the ASL for the redevelopment of the Pirri medical guard: the request for an opinion has been sent to the Superintendence, which will have to express itself within 60 days, therefore presumably in September. If all goes well, therefore, the renovation work on the headquarters in via Santa Maria Chiara should begin in the autumn and next year the garrison could return to its place. The President of the Municipality Maria Laura Manca went to Via Romagna a few days ago, where the medical guard has been located for more than a year, and received reassurances from the Local Health Authority.
«The planning is completed», he explains, «the ASL has made available around 200,000 euros from its budget. The opinion of the Superintendence is needed as the building in via Santa Maria Chiara is more than seventy years old. Once you have received the approval from the institution, you can start with the work. I am in contact with regional officials and the local health authority, and they have assured me that the funds have been made available and that Pirri will have his medical guard again." Manca also says that we will then try to improve access for people with mobility difficulties. The building is currently occupied by two families, «this is certainly an obstacle that I will deal with once I have the green light for the works».
The length of the process was due to the «bureaucratic times needed to complete the project and the endless discussions. For now the garrison remains in Via Romagna because a valid alternative to Pirri has not been found, but I am confident that by next year we will have the medical guard back."
