A simple thank you wasn't enough, which is why he decided to gather all the citizens who mobilized to look for him on the evening of June 2nd.

Raffaele Catapano, who fell into an open well in Sinis, while looking for snails like every Sunday, on Friday evening wanted to invite all the people of Cabras to dinner in a restaurant in Cabras who that day, once they heard the news of his disappearance, had not hesitated to search the town and even the countryside areas he usually frequented.

"Dinner? It was the least I could do - says the 82 year old man, emotionally - because without them I wouldn't be here to tell my story."

After that bad day it was time for celebration, thanks and applause. The mayor of Cabras Andrea Abis was also present at the dinner.

That evening, the volunteers were the first to notice the presence of Raffaele Catapano, who was shouting with all his might "I'm here, I'm here!", including several managers of Atletico San Marco, who had immediately taken action research with the barracellare company.

Catapano, with a great desire to live, had organized himself with some pieces of wood that he had found inside the well. They had acted as a support and by leveraging with his feet and leaning on his back he had managed to keep himself on the surface. When he was found he was exhausted. And that evening too he immediately thanked all the volunteers, his guardian angels.
