An earthquake was recorded in the province of Foggia at 8:37 p.m. and was also clearly felt in Bari. The provisional magnitude - according to the INGV - is between 4.4 and 4.9.

But not only that, because just under an hour earlier a new strong earthquake occurred in the Campi Flegrei : magnitude 3.5, recorded in this case at 19:44 and also felt in Naples. It interrupted the period of seismic quiet in the area, where the last shock - light, magnitude 1 - dated back to 3:52.

This latest earthquake was milder than the 4.4 one last night , which had created panic among residents, and also shorter in duration. The epicenter of the shock at Campi Flegrei is in via San Gennaro Agnano, at a depth of 2.8 kilometers.
