The Polifonica Santa Cecilia of Sassari celebrates 80 years of activity: concerts throughout the island

That intuition of Don Gino Porcheddu in a particular year like 1945 has proven to be farsighted and successful. The Associazione Polifonica Santa Cecilia onlus of Sassari celebrates 80 years of activity . And it does so with a series of concerts from April until Christmas.
President Denis Gueye explains: «The objective is to continue in the care of training, to pass on our passion for polyphonic music to young people. Currently the choir is composed of 35 choristers, many of whom are students of the music high school and the Conservatory, in addition to the historical members».
The concerts begin with the Easter one, on April 13, in Castelsardo. On April 26, a stop in Tempio. In May, a concert in Sassari, in June stops in Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia. In May, the 2025 edition of the Filo Rosso music festival will start.
