Gala evening today at the S'Arei Municipal Park in Sanluri, where the new edition of the Sardinian football Grand Gala will be staged from 6.30pm. The classic summer event of the Sardinia Regional Committee is established to celebrate those who, in the season just ended, distinguished themselves by winning the various football and futsal championships as well as the initiatives implemented during the year, including the prizes in collaboration with The Sardinian Union, the Disciplina Cup and the project to enhance young footballers. On stage, with the president of CR Sardegna Gianni Cadoni, there will be journalists Enrico Pilia and Matteo Vercelli of the Sardinian Union.
The best. The initiative of our newspaper in collaboration with the Regional Committee has seen, throughout the season, the rankings updated every week for the best in Excellence and Promotion, as well as scorers. In total there will be eight winners. In Eccellenza the striker is Alessio Mulas with 25 goals, scored with San Teodoro while in recent weeks he moved to Budoni, as the best there is a double recognition because in first place went Andrea Porcheddu of Carbonia (in 2024-2025 he will play at 'Ossese) and Gianluigi Illario of Iglesias both with 22 points. In Promotion Group A, Mauro Ragatzu topped the scoring charts in a record year for champion Monastir, with 40 goals, while the best here too is double with Nicolò Agostinelli (Guspini) and Gianluca Marongiu (Villamassargia) on 20 points. For Group B the striker is Domenico Saba (Usinese) with 25 goals, the best Stefano Mereu (Alghero) with 25 points.
The winners. Among the awards for the clubs we go to those who have won the championships, from Ilvamaddalena which triumphed in Excellence to the Third Category clubs. There will also be space for women's football (with Torres excelling in Excellence), youth teams and cups. There will also be a part of the ceremony dedicated to 5-a-side football, with San Sebastiano Ussana who won the Serie C1 and is expected to compete in the national Serie B championship in the new season, as is CUS Cagliari in the women's C. But there will be over one hundred prizes to be awarded, in the presence of the main regional managers and the clubs themselves, waiting to return to the field in about a month and a half for the new season.
