The ninth "Summer Music" concert season opens tomorrow at 9pm in the Cloister of San Francesco in Alghero, organized in Alghero by the "Amici del Conservatorio - Philharmonic Orchestra of Sardinia" Association and the artistic direction of Antonio Puglia. The protagonists are the duo composed of Francesco Girardi (flute) and Pierluigi Camicia (piano).

The “Viva l'Italia” concert is dedicated to national composers. The program includes the Sonata for flute and piano by Gaetano Donizetti, Divertimento su Tosca by Giacomo Puccini by Serafino Alassio, Five preludes for solo piano and Five easy pieces for flute and piano by Nino Rota, three themes by Ennio Morricone ( Mission-Gabriel's, Once Upon a Time in the West and Nuovo Cinema Paradiso) , Fenesta ca lucive da Piedigrotta 1924 by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco for solo piano and, to conclude, Serenata e tango and Cinque jazz pieces by Francesco Santucci.

The other appointments in July are with the Trio Sznen (the 5th), the pianist Alessandro Marano (7), the pianist Matteo Taras and the saxophonist Devroop Karendra (13th), the soprano Cristina Nadal together with the pianist Vito Clemente (14th). On Saturday 27th “German baroque air” with Giorgio Matteoli on the recorder and Pietro Pardino on the accordion, while on Monday 29th the pianist and composer Roberto Piana will close the July events.

The concerts will also continue in the months of August and September.
