Sassari responded enthusiastically to the presentation of Torres which, like last summer, was held in Piazza Tola. Hundreds of fans packed the square, also confirming the boom in season tickets, which grew by 40% and reached 1,400 with a few days left to purchase.

The Sassari-based club presented the management, technical and medical staff of the six youth teams (200 members) and of course the first team.

The owner Pierluigi Pinna said: "We continue to grow and dream. The market is not over, something will come."

It seemed like a done deal for Picerno striker Jacopo Murano (820 goals in group C of Serie C) but Trapani and Foggia got involved.
