" Bad, unjust and cursed fate ." These are the words of friends who knew Pietro Satta, the 48-year-old restaurateur from Sassari who died together with his 71-year-old friend from Genoa, Maurizio Rossi, in the sea of Isola Rossa , during a fishing trip. The boat, a six and a half meter semi-cabin cruiser, hit the rocks and capsized.

The violent impact left no escape for the two expert fishermen who found death, near the rocks of Punta Canneddi in La Marinedda, in the Canneddi area, in the municipality of Trinità d'Agultu. The first to raise the alarm, yesterday morning, Saturday 25 January around 12.40, were some witnesses who were passing along the coast, then the attempt by one of the divers in the area who, having reached the boat, realized that the two fishermen were now dead.

The pleasure boat with an obvious gash in the bow was seized. The bodies transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Sassari will undergo an autopsy and will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities to establish whether death occurred instantly or due to drowning. The Tempio Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case.
