The pole and electrode cables need to be laid. Because the Tyrrhenian Link must reach from Sicily to Sardinia (and carry the current in the reverse direction). For this reason, the Port Authority of Cagliari has issued an order prohibiting the stretch of sea in front of Terra Mala, on the coast of Quartu: until 31 July the systematic clearance of the seabed on which the ship will be placed will continue until 31 July. Terna's power line which will allow the export of electricity produced by the wind and photovoltaic plants planned throughout Sardinia.

The reconnaissance intervention will be carried out by Sub service Srl of Mogoro, a specialized company that puts its divers on the hunt for possible bombs, more or less recent, in the area on which the companies appointed by Terna will intervene for the construction of the highly contested 1 .9 billion investment.

The procedures for the Tyrrhenian Link are moving forward, despite protests on this side of the sea.

Only two days ago the committee that opposes the cable and energy speculation on the island filed a request addressed to the Quartu City Council and the mayor, Graziano Milia, «to proceed in accordance with Art. 79 of the Municipality Statute upon calling an open Municipal Council. In fact, as is known, the works for the construction of the Tyrrhenian Link continue both in the Selargius countryside and in Quartu", we read in a note, "Despite the fact that the committees have presented a complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office, denouncing the lack of mandatory public consultation by Italian law (contract code) and by European law (EU Regulation 347/2013) the mayor of Quartu continues to escape public confrontation".
