The location is that of the Piscu nuraghe, one of the prehistoric monuments of Sardinia best known in the archaeological tourism sector and beyond. Just click on any search engine on the internet and thousands of photographs and videos appear which immortalize (if ever there was a need) the symbol of the "beautiful age of the nuraghi", as the father of Sardinian archeology Giovanni Lilliu used to call it. An important resource for the entire Trexenta which, never ceasing to amaze, has become the location of the wedding of Eleonora Pasci and Cristian Corda, young newlyweds from Senorbì who decided to say the fateful yes in the shadow of the nuraghe.

The atmosphere is dreamlike: the sky preparing for sunset, the wheat fields, the silence of nature. And white cascades of petals, with a precious display of red roses in front of the nuragic complex characterized by the particular red stone architrave. The mayor Massimiliano Garau, one of the first to believe without reservations in the suggestive charm of the location to be exploited in a tourist-romantic key, celebrated the wedding in front of the family of the couple and a cheering crowd of friends and relatives. «I thank Eleonora and Cristian for choosing such an exclusive area to crown their dream of love - said Garau -, I am convinced that after them other couples will choose our nuraghe to say the fateful yes».

The intent of the municipal administration is clear: after having spent important resources to revitalize the archaeological site, now is the time to make it accessible to everyone also offering the opportunity to transform the nuraghe area into the most romantic and evocative backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The wedding of Eleonora (31 years old) and Cristian (40 years old) did not go unnoticed in Trexenta, with the images and videos published live on social media by the many guests. An indirect advertisement for the nuraghe located inside the archaeological park of Suelli (owned by the municipality since 1982), also clearly visible from State Road 128 in the direction of Mandas. The archaeological area is inserted in a territorial context rich in other prehistoric architectural evidence, but without a doubt this nuraghe is currently the most representative monument of the Nuragic civilization of Trexenta and in the territory it takes on a strategic position and control over the surrounding fertile valleys.

The nuraghe derives its ancient name from "nuraxi de su piscu" (bishop's nuraghe) because it once belonged to the Bishop of Suelli, to whom the judges of Cagliari had made numerous donations. The Municipality of Suelli, in a functional perspective for the protection of cultural heritage, the tourist promotion of the territory and the growth of productive and commercial activities operating in the sector of organizing weddings and events in general, intends to establish one or more separate state offices civil for the celebration of civil rites, which would allow to attract non-resident users, highlighting the receptive and hospitality potential of the Trexenta centre. «Establishing a separate civil registry office for the celebration of weddings in the archaeological park meets the many needs expressed by young couples who see the Piscu nuraghe as the ideal place: magical, intimate and fascinating in which to say their "Yes" and swear their love eternal. Just as the majestic nuraghe is", concludes Mayor Garau.
