Small boat sank in the waters of Teulada, the search for the missing continues

The search continues in the waters of southern Sardinia , after a small boat carrying migrants sank off the coast of the island , in the Cala Zafferano area, in the Teulada area.

Yesterday, late in the morning, an Army patrol boat rescued 11 migrants who were trying to swim to shore. Once in port, they reported one or two sunken boats and at least four missing.

The deployment of forces for the rescue operations was immediate and impressive, with the air and naval resources of the Coast Guard, Fire Brigade and Guardia di Finanza taking care of the task.

Ground searches have also begun.
