80 cameras to increase the video surveillance system . This was announced yesterday in the Budget Committee by Councilor Giuseppe Masala , thus also responding to recent episodes of petty crime.
«Thanks to an incoming regional funding and a wireless solution with 4G technology, the prototype of which was designed by our offices – states Masala – we will give an initial response to the community's need to feel safer and more protected ».
The head of Budget, Technological Innovation, Programming and Participated Companies then described the state of the art on digitalization, cyber security, infrastructure, announcing a large investment in the coming months "of which the 250 thousand euros coming from Cagliari represent only the first stop". The priority in the meantime is "to ensure that technology allows us to help those who have fallen behind to catch up with the others".
On the administrative simplification front, the councilor points out: «We have updated the hardware equipment of the data storage center and have adapted approximately 60% of the 750 physical workstations . The increase in Man, Lan and Wifi networks, possible thanks to the 24 kilometers of fiber optics owned by the institution, has allowed us to connect numerous peripheral offices. Internet connectivity, improved thanks to the activation of a symmetric flow of 1 GPS, will soon be brought to 10 GPS».

The future bet is on artificial intelligence. «It would allow a considerable speeding up and the extension to other areas of services such as the digital counter in video call – concludes the councilor – which today is operational only for Tari and Imu practices».
