Escaped from house arrest after being arrested for several thefts in Sassari. This is the reason why a 43-year-old from Sassari was taken this morning to the court of the capital of Sassari and judged with the second direct trial for two consecutive days.
After the arrest by the local police on Monday because the man, together with a young woman, had attempted to steal jackets and trousers from various shops in Predda Niedda, yesterday the suspect had left home despite the prohibition of the police.
In court, before judge Claudia Sechi, the man justified himself by saying that he wanted to go to court alone. The prosecutor requested the precautionary measure of prison for the 43-year-old, defended by lawyer Letizia Doppiu-Anfossi, while the judge ordered that the judge of the summary trial decide on the merits so that she can evaluate whether the obligation to remain at home should still apply.
