Mission impossible , or almost. Finding a suitable worker for Sardinian companies is a futile undertaking in 50% of cases. A paradoxical famine for Sardinia, because the hunger of companies at this moment is at an all-time high . The requests forwarded by the island companies themselves in fact almost reached 30 thousand between January and March. Thirty thousand contracts available, which however cannot find suitable candidates to sign them. Both for lack of professional requirements, and for the absence of aspiring workers.
The short circuit is nothing new. The abysmal gap between supply and demand in the labor market is a phenomenon that has assumed proportions never seen before after the pandemic , but which is now starting to worry due to the lack of resolving policies.
Among the most sought-after profiles are drivers, shop assistants, waiters and cleaners. But also engineers, doctors, skilled workers and IT experts.
