The vehicles involved in the serious accident that occurred in Ploaghe on the evening of Wednesday 26 March have been seized. The Public Prosecutor's Office of Sassari ordered this following the violent impact between a Renault Kangoo van and a scooter on which a 17-year-old boy, a local resident, was riding.

The young man is hospitalized in serious conditions with a reserved prognosis in the Intensive Care Unit of the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari. The collision is said to have occurred around 11 pm in via Planargia, in the urban center of Ploaghe, for reasons yet to be established, the subject of investigation by the Carabinieri of the local station who have started the investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics and to evaluate any responsibilities.

According to an initial reconstruction, the 17-year-old did not respect the stop sign and crashed into the van. A head-on collision that threw the young man to the ground, transferred with a red code to the Sassari civil hospital. The consequences of the accident are serious. The boy suffered a head injury and fractures to the chest.
