The number of victims of the Nuoro massacre, committed on Wednesday morning by Roberto Gleboni, a 52-year-old worker from Forestas, has risen to five.

Yesterday evening, the brain death of his son Francesco, 10 years old, and his neighbor, Paolo Sanna, 69 years old, were declared. Victims of the man's murderous fury who join his wife Giuseppina Massetti, 43 years old, his eldest daughter, Martina, 26 years old, and Gleboni himself, who after having exterminated his loved ones, turned the 7.65 caliber pistol, legally held, on himself, taking his own life.

Only two survived the massacre: the third 14-year-old son – who will be interviewed by investigators as soon as possible – and the worker's mother, who were also hit by bullets and injured.

If the dynamics of the incident now appear clear, the investigators - carabinieri and police who operate jointly - continue to work to try to understand the motive. What led the 52-year-old - defined by all as a "calm and available" person to open fire on his wife and children, aiming in all cases at the head?

The investigations continue, while Nuoro prepares to proclaim a day of mourning for the funeral.
