The inhabitants of Tertenia woke up yesterday morning under siege by the Carabinieri of the Nuoro command. A large number of soldiers went into action at dawn to control the territory. The impressive blitz of the Arma was triggered (also) as a result of the threats of which, recently, Marshal Sandro Murredda, commander of the local station, was the victim. It is not known whether they were direct or indirect - through wiretaps, telephone and environmental, of suspicious people - also because the investigators are maintaining the strictest confidentiality on the facts.

For a few days now, the provincial heads of the force have raised the level of surveillance to protect the non-commissioned officer who has been subjected to insulting acts. Who is in fact under protection.

The intimidations against the commander of the Tertenia Carabinieri station are only the latest in a series of similar episodes that, in recent times, have involved members of the police force in the area, with cars set on fire and graffiti on cemeteries.
