Taken ill in the middle of the sea, complex intervention by the Coast Guard, yesterday afternoon, off the coast of Portisco . The rescue following the radio call "Pan Pan", which via the coastal radio station of Rome, reached the operations room of the Port Authority of Olbia.
The CP894 patrol boat with 118 personnel on board, embarked in the Golfo Aranci harbour, immediately left. The vessel, a 15-meter catamaran flying the Swiss flag, with 7 people on board, had attempted, in vain, to reach the Portisco Marina due to the very rough sea. The emergency call was therefore necessary due to the rapid worsening of the yachtsman's health conditions ; once the vessel was reached, the Coast Guard personnel, assisted by 118 personnel, transferred the patient to their own vessel, concluding the operation with the disembarkation at the Portisco docks and the delivery of the patient to the assistance of the Golfo Aranci Coast Guard personnel and medical care by ambulance.
