A young man from Gonnosfanadiga who grew marijuana at home was arrested for possession of narcotics.

The Carabinieri, during routine night checks, noticed the 23-year-old moving suspiciously in via Vico I Nazionale and stopped him for a check. Since he was in possession of a minimal amount of narcotics, they decided to extend the search to the young man's home.

And there they found 92 grams of marijuana and just under 3 grams of hashish. In addition to the drugs, the military seized precision scales, a thermal blanket and two UV lamps used for indoor cultivation, a jar with cannabis seeds and various packaging material.

The young man was placed under house arrest. Investigations are continuing to ascertain any further responsibilities or connections with other illicit activities in the area.
