He had obstructed the passage of a convoy carrying components for wind turbines, last July 15 at the port of Oristano. Now Bustianu Cumpostu, leader of Sardigna Natzione and Sardinian independence, has been served with a fine ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 euros . The episode dates back to three months ago, when during an exceptional transport of several vehicles and trucks he had lain down in the middle of the roadway - together with other protesters - preventing the convoy from continuing its march .
"I immediately thought that the Italian State Police was giving credit to the guards of the port of Oristano, who until then had been oppressed and treated inhumanely, for having defended Sardinia from devastation and the Sardinian people from humiliation ," Cumpostu says. "But disappointment was not long in coming a few lines below, where an administrative fine ranging from €1,000.00 to €4,000.00 was imposed . After the seizure of the gazebos, the exclusion from the port bar, the ban on stopping with removal in the port square, to confirm the inhumane treatment received, the fines also arrived, for having "armed themselves with their bodies" defended our land and theirs from the energy harness ."
His reaction is quite decisive: "As an independentist I believe it is immoral to give financial support to the state that holds Sardinia in subjection and I will ask for the sanction to be converted into days of detention, better prison which is more appropriate , I will ask in Sardinian of course because even though I know Italian, to avoid saying things that could be turned against me, I will ask to speak in the language I think with, Sardinian", Cumpostu states. "I am not the only one to have been sanctioned, many protesters have received the same report, even disabled protesters to whom all my admiration and solidarity goes, and not only mine, to compensate for that not received by those who believe they are defending the rights of Sardinians from the seats of the regional government".
