Why was Michele Fresi, out of control and hallucinating due to lysergic acid, not taken care of by the ambulance staff sent to the center of Arzachena to help him? This is the new topic of the debate (in the Assize Court in Sassari) in the trial for the parricide of the goldsmith Giovanni Fresi, which took place at the end of December 2023. The question was raised by the lawyer Pierfranco Tirotto, defender of Michele Fresi, the young man accused of having beaten his father to death.

Tirotto insisted on the testimony of the 118 personnel, with the declared aim of shedding light on this aspect of the tragedy. According to the sequence of objections made by the lawyer to one of the rescuers who intervened in Arzachena and cited as a witness, 118 received a call in which the presence of a young man who was half naked, aggressive, bleeding and in the grip of delirium who was moving around the historic center of Arzachena was highlighted . A description that corresponds to the condition of Michele Fresi, after the wounding of his partner (fractured jaw) and before the murder of his father.

An ambulance actually arrived on the scene and took care of the girl injured by the young man. Obviously the victim of the brutal attack with a juniper club needed treatment, but the defense insists on the point: why wasn't Michele Fresi taken into care too? According to the lawyer Pierfranco Tirotto, the young man's agitated state, his appearance (half naked and covered in blood) were the non-negligible signs of a condition that required medical intervention. The lawyer insisted on further depositions, even from witnesses not yet cited. The trial will resume next Tuesday .
