Always in the thick of visceral tales, which concern the insecurities and tragedy of realistic characters like those encountered in our daily lives, the ninety-five-year-old Clint Eastwood is once again preparing to leave his mark with his latest directorial effort entitled “Juror Number Two”, available in Italian theaters starting November 14.

Considered one of the sacred monsters of the seventh art - after having participated in timeless masterpieces such as Sergio Leone's "Dollars Trilogy" and directed some of the most significant films in the last twenty years of American cinema, including "Million Dollar Baby" and "Gran Torino" - the most famous sulky look in the history of cinema has chosen this time to focus on legal drama, discovering the pitfalls and the moral weight of a wrong choice in decreeing the innocence or guilt of a defendant.

As also revealed by the official trailer, the protagonist Justin Kemp will have to deal with the serious consequences of a night-time accident, oppressed by the doubt of having hit an animal or, even worse, a person with his car. By a twist of fate, the young man is chosen as a juror in the trial case against James Sythe, accused of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Kendall Carter. Discovering that the girl's death occurred in circumstances very similar to the car accident, Justin fears he is the true responsible for her death; but the risk of the consequences, including that of losing the affection of his family, will lead him to make unpredictable decisions.

At his venerable age, despite not lacking willpower and enthusiasm, it must not have been easy for Eastwood to complete the project. As stated by actor Phil Biedron exclusively to Vulture, the cast found themselves interrupting filming on at least three occasions, due to unspecified health complications that the director had to face. Likewise, the actor did not fail to express a heartfelt message of gratitude to Eastwood, calling him the most generous director with whom he has ever had the honor of collaborating. While waiting to discover the work done by the master in the theater, we are already wondering if we could expect another appearance from him in the near future. In addition to the rumors about the first draft of a new script, there are those that would like Eastwood in contact with Warner Bros to discuss a project that is still unknown, after the satisfactory debut of "Juror Number Two" in France.

On these developments, all that remains is to wait patiently for all the next information, also considering the director's low propensity to release official statements. As for the experience lived on the set by the protagonist Nicholas Hoult - currently busy with the remake of Robert Eggers' "Nosferatu" and the DC cinecomic "Superman" by James Gunn - the star spoke during the premiere of the AFI Fest in Los Angeles revealing to The Hollywood Reperter what it meant for him to collaborate alongside the legendary Clint Eastwood: "They always say you don't meet your heroes but this is a case where it's great to meet them, because he is quiet, calm and sure of himself. He has a way of approaching life and people with simplicity, as well as a certain charm, a brilliant look and always a great sense of humor. He really cares about what he creates, he trusts the people around him and he also trusts the audience". On the same occasion, actress Toni Colette also intervened, releasing some statements along the same lines as her colleague: "I would have done anything for Clint, I can't believe I worked with him. He's a dream director. The atmosphere on set is incredible, there's a lot of freedom, connection and a sense of humanity. He'll continue as long as he wants, he's an inexhaustible source of creativity, a true artist".
