Numerous cryptocurrency wallets and computer devices with tens of thousands of illegal files seized.

Among those arrested are a 27-year-old unemployed man from Foggia, a 49-year-old computer scientist from Biella, a 22-year-old worker from Caserta, and a 36-year-old masseur from Pesaro Urbino. Among those under investigation, aged between 22 and 67, are a worker, several employees and professionals, and a lawyer.

Local and computer searches were ordered throughout the country, including in Sardinia.

Cooperation with German investigating authorities, as part of a broader operation coordinated by Europol, and blockchain analysis, have made it possible to identify the individuals who made several cryptocurrency payments to access the Dark Web platform called "KidFlix" - a name inspired by the well-known on-demand content platform Netflix - used for the on-demand reproduction of child pornography multimedia content grouped by category.

A site was also identified on the dark web called "Wikipedo" - inspired by the Wikipedia encyclopedia - dedicated exclusively to the world of child pornography , complete with an "instruction manual for pedophiles".
