Porto Cervo will become an open-air art gallery for a month to host the “Colours of the Soul” exhibition from 3 August to 8 September.

Tonight at 7.30pm the inauguration: today's vernissage represents the first stage of the "Ultra" project, a production by LamaroArte, an organization active in the promotion of new talents and established artists, which aims to be a summer reference point for the visual arts with The aim is to bring together a large audience of enthusiasts and lovers of beauty.

The exhibition, hosted in one of the most iconic places of Porto Cervo, the Piazza del Principe, a framework where nature was shaped by the genius of the architect Jean Claude Lesuisse, represents a showcase on the new trends of contemporary art, with a particular attention to the relationship with the territory.

For this first edition, strongly supported by Sonia Vinante, artists of different backgrounds and origins were chosen, united by the aim of communicating their world through colour.

They are very well-known artists at a national level and some island glories such as Bob Marongiu, who created the "Bob Placemats" attached to L'Unione Sarda in 2022, and Giuseppe Carta, recently awarded the Golden Cipolla, both with paintings to their credit and sculptures in prestigious sites and in world-renowned collections.

Among the non-Sardinian artists there will be Alessandro De Gasperi, Kyunghee Kim, Emanuela Giacco and Ludwig Antonio Grosa.

The title "Colours of the Soul" was born from the desire to describe each of these artists through the colors that dwell in their souls and which, in the most singular ways, represent the stylistic signature of each of them.

Each work represents a personal journey into the artist's inner life for a deep connection with visitors, offering multiple levels of interpretation.

The special participation of Giuseppe Carta, master of contemporary sculpture, is the seal of prestige to this first edition.

Carta, internationally famous for his installations depicting brightly colored fruits, is an example of Sardinian excellence in the world and will pay homage to Porto Cervo with some of his most representative works from the "Germinations" cycle.

The “Ultra” project was born thanks to the intuition and foresight of people who love art and intend to enhance the beauties of Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda through significant artistic-cultural initiatives: in addition to the gallery's patron, Emanuele Lamaro, the entrepreneur Patrizia Albanese Achenza and Natale Vinante, owner of La Piazza del Principe and builder attentive to the environment and the harmonization between nature and landscape, who with his architectural works has given so much to the famous Gallura village.

With this original initiative the intention is to bring the public closer to contemporary art by going beyond the canonical circuits of traditional galleries: beyond, beyond, it is in fact the literary translation of the word Ultra from the Latin language.

For its founders, a manifesto of intent for a commitment to the diffusion of art and culture.

The gallery always remains the fulcrum for knowledge of art, but other places and other opportunities for connection come into play for new audiences eager for knowledge.

Painting, photography, sculpture, for a kaleidoscope of emotions that will make Porto Cervo shine every evening for the entire month of August until the first days of September when the large crowd will leave space for an audience of true connoisseurs. In the name of color and the joy of living.
