In Ittireddu the first regional Sardinian donkey show

Anarei (National Association of breeders of Italian equine and donkey breeds), Breeders Association of the Region of Sardinia (Aars), Municipality of Ittireddu and the Ittireddese Horse Association have organized the first regional exhibition of the Sardinian breed donkey registered with the Herd book for the conservation of limited circulation equine and asinine breeds, which will be held at the municipal gallop.
The Sardinian donkey, biodiversity of the island that counts 2,358 specimens, has a height at the withers that cannot exceed 110 centimeters.
It is recognizable by the sorcino coat with crossed mulina stripe and by the dark edge of the ears, but there may be zebra stripes on the shoulder and limbs. It has a pale belly, a sparse mane that is darker than the color of the coat and a long tail with little hair.
Admission to the initiative is reserved only for specimens registered in the Herd Book, in possession of the passports and health certifications prescribed or provided for by the regulations in force.
It is possible to send Aars registration applications by March 20th.
