The second match between the two rival teams Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari and Anwil Włocławek will be held on Wednesday, November 6. In the first match our team beat the opponent at 69:66, after a last final effort. This time the match will take place at the Hala Mistrzów stadium in Włocławek, where around 4000 spectators will support the Rottweilers.

However, a group of Italians came all the way to Poland for the match and to support the Sassari team and cheer them on. Who will make themselves heard the most? We'll see on Wednesday night.

In the meantime, a few words about the rival team Dinamo. The first game in Sassari was tough for both sides: Rottweilers showed why they are among the candidates to win the FIBA Europe Cup trophy. If they succeed, it would be a huge success as it would be the second victory of the club in the FEC competition. The club made history in Polish basketball, winning the FEC during the 2022/2023 season.

But Włocławek is not only known for basketball.

Situated in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Włocławek is located in the heart of Poland. Despite the fact that this region has two main cities, - Bydgoszcz and Toruń - which act as joint capitals of the province, Włocławek is a quiet place for all those who like to spend time away from the hustle and bustle, crowds and pollution.

The history of Włocławek dates back to the period between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age (1300- BC – 500 BC). Archaeological excavations conducted on the site of the present city have revealed the remains of a settlement belonging to the Lusatian culture, as well as traces of a previously established settlement of the Pomeranian culture.

The original settlement was founded in the 9th century and its first inhabitants were engaged in agriculture and crafts. In the 10th century, it became part of the emerging Polish state under the Piast dynasty. Already under the reign of Bolesław I the Brave, it was one of the most important administrative centers of Poland, as mentioned in the Gesta principum Polonorum, a chronicle from the 1110s, and is also the oldest known mention of the town. Its name derives from the Old Polish male name Włodzisław, probably the founder of Włocławek.

Thus began the history of the city. A thousand years later, history is created by industry, trade and... sports. Obviously, basketball. The game is today, and we are very curious to know what the final result will be. And we are also curious about the impressions of the people who traveled to this city for the game and for tourist activities.
