«Steven Tyler's vocal cord problems are irreparable». It is Aerosmith's announcement, which shatters the dreams of the many fans who have loved and followed the band for over five decades, who now - after the last concerts - have canceled all the other dates still scheduled for what was supposed to be the tour farewell.

“It has been the honor of our lives to make our music part of yours,” the group declared in a post on their social media profiles aimed at the Blue Army (the army of fans). In 2017, Aerosmith had given life to the Aero-Vederci Baby, a Farewell Tour of those which, like Bob Dylan, seem to never end and which, under the name of Peace Out, should have continued at least until next February with stops in North America and Canada and a grand finale at Madison Square Garden.

The news of the cancellation of the remaining scheduled dates came after various postponements: in fact, due to Tyler's health problems, the last time the band went on stage together was last September in Elmont, in the state from New York. The decision to close was «difficult, heartbreaking, but necessary», taken because the frontman Tyler, whose voice «is an incomparable instrument», is still dealing with a fracture of the larynx suffered at the end of last September after only three concerts. «Steven spent months working tirelessly to get her back to how she was before the injury. We saw his difficulties despite having the best doctors in the field at his side. Unfortunately it is clear that a full recovery will not be possible,” the band members have now said.
