King Charles returns to public, his first official engagement after his cancer diagnosis

King Charles III returned to public today for his first official external engagement since the cancer diagnosis revealed to the United Kingdom in February and the results described as "encouraging" by his doctors of a first phase of treatment still underway.
The sovereign with Queen Camilla visited a hospital and a cancer center in London. He showed himself smiling.
Buckingham Palace announced on Friday a partial resumption of official commitments after Charles had limited himself to indoor appointments with individual guests or family events such as Easter mass in recent months.
