The Israeli Air Force has completed a raid on the central part of the Gaza Strip, while the fate of Rafah hangs by a thread: that of the proposed agreement that Israel has put forward to Hamas, now under study and on which a answer.

But, if there is no agreement, the army will enter the southernmost city of the Strip.

“Israel is preparing a large-scale military operation in the city of Rafah,” Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), told TASS. «My fear right now is what the Israeli army intends to do, regardless of military assistance to Israel from the United States. There appears to be preparation for a possible large-scale military intervention in Rafah,” he said.

The topic of Rafah and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza will also be on the table in a meeting in Riyadh, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF), between Palestinian President Abu Mazen, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the main international officials.

Meanwhile, a new video has been released with two hostages asking Benjamin Netanyahu for an immediate agreement for their release.
