Red paint and anti-Semitic writings on the entrance door of the Jewish Museum of Cagliari , which is also the headquarters of the Chenàbura Sardos pro Israel association.

" A serious and cowardly anti-Semitic attack ", this is how the association defines it, recalling that it was carried out on the European Day of Jewish Culture. Red paint on the entrance door and, on the right, the writing "A Fora Zionistas".

The discovery was made this morning at 8.30 by the president of the association Mario Carboni , who was preparing to open the headquarters in the Castello district to receive the first visitors and speakers who will speak at the event on the occasion of the European Day of Jewish Culture.

"It is the first violent act of anti-Semitism committed in a place that is also a point of reference, study and prayer for the Jews of Cagliari and Sardinia ," explains Chenabùra. "The fact that a cultural association was hit, on the day dedicated to the diffusion and knowledge of Jewish thought and culture, shows how the definitions of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism are now superimposable."

President Carboni notified the police and filed a complaint, hoping that those responsible will be identified and "severely punished".
