Feeling ill while swimming, a 23-year-old dies in the waters of Porto Pino
Help was useless for Mattia Mura, a university student from Terralba. The 118 ambulance was on site and tried to resuscitate him on the shore
Tragedy late this morning in Porto Pino. Mattia Mura, 23 years old from Terralba, died while he was bathing.
The boy, a university student in his first year of a master's degree in Managerial Economics, apparently fell ill while swimming. He was immediately dragged to the shoreline for first aid, which unfortunately was useless.
The first call to 118 arrived just before 1.30pm: the Sant'Anna Arresi Rescue Volunteers were on site, the ambulance immediately reached the beach and the medical team attempted several times to resuscitate the young man, in vain.
