A van caught fire this morning at dawn near Cannigione .

Around 5.20 am the Arzachena Fire Brigade intervened on the spot, along the provincial road 13 : the vehicle was suddenly engulfed in flames while it was in transit in the area.

Luckily the driver managed to get to safety, the firefighters have put out the fire by preventing the flames from spreading to the surrounding vegetation.

The carabinieri were also on site, the causes of the fire still to be ascertained.
