The Tempio Prosecutor's Office is dealing with the death of a young tourist from Varese, who died in the waters of Cala Girgolu, on the San Teodoro coast.

Giorgio Noris, 19, died while bathing with a group of friends with whom he was spending his holidays in Loiri Porto San Paolo.

According to a reconstruction, the boys were swimming around a dinghy and at a certain point they noticed that a peer was missing. A young man then climbed to a high point on the cliff and after a few minutes saw his friend who had moved away. Unfortunately, however, the boy was motionless on the water and no longer showed any signs of life.

Emergency services were called immediately but the doctors were unable to do anything.

The Coast Guard (Maritime Directorate of Olbia) after having completed the operations for the transfer of the body to Porto San Paolo, sent an information to the prosecutor on duty.

The medical examiner determined that the young man drowned, probably following an illness.

For now, other people's responsibilities are excluded.
