A 53-year-old man, originally from Motta di Livenza (Treviso), was found dead in the bed of his room in hospital in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone), a few hours after an ordinary orthopedic surgery on the rotator cuff.

From what was ascertained, all pre-operative tests were normal.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Pordenone has opened an investigation into the matter, investigating the orthopedist and the anesthetist who performed the operation for manslaughter.

This is a necessary act, to protect defensive guarantees. An autopsy has been scheduled for next Wednesday by the medical examiner in charge to understand the causes of death. Experts for the suspects may also be appointed during the examination.
