Evelina Santangelo with “The feeling of the sea” triumphed in the Fiction category, while Maurizio Ferraris and his “Learning to live” won the Nonfiction category.

Only they were missing to complete the list of winners of the 2024 Costa Smeralda Award . Proclaimed this evening at the Conference Center in Porto Cervo , during the ceremony conducted by the journalist Roberta Floris, they defeated the competition, respectively, of Ginevra Lamberti with “The well is worth more than time” and Eugenio Murrali with his debut novel “Marguerite è been here”, and by Vera Gheno with “Parole d'altro genre” and Vincenzo Trione with “Prologo celeste. In Anselm Kiefer's atelier”. Convincing with their works the quality jury composed of Lina Bolzoni, Marcello Fois, Elena Loewenthal and the artistic director of the prize Stefano Salis : Chiara Valerio absent for professional reasons.

But on the scene of the event organized and promoted by the Costa Smeralda Consortium chaired by Renzo Persico, in partnership with Smeralda Holding, there is also and above all space for the Spanish writer Alicia Giménez-Bartlett, winner of the International Prize, the scientist and popularizer Mariasole Bianco, who received the Mediterranean Culture Award, and the rapper from Olbia Salmo, who received the Special Award.

The winners were given a work by the sculptor Giuseppe Sanna, in basalt for the Fiction, trachyte for the Nonfiction, granite for the International Prize, marble for the Mediterranean Culture Prize and limestone for the Special Prize.
